What is the acronym MDF?

It's short for Multiple Device file. (1) A device file in which the maximum number of program devices is greater than one.(2) In RPG, any work station (WORKSTN) file with one of the keywords ID, IND, NUM, or SAVDS. Such a file can access more than one device, and devices of various types.
